All: Seems like a lot of people are trying to debug boost leaks and high idles now (myself included). Now that I'm doing the work, I have some questions that I've wondered about, and maybe someone can explain. How can there be positive pressure (boost) in the air intake pipes (directly outside the TBs)? Wouldn't that positive pressure flow out backwards through the air filter? I have a tear in one of my air intake pipes and suspect it's my boost leak, but then I wonder how that slight leak even compares to a huge air intake pipe w/ filter on the end? Is there some sort of check valve that only allows intake air to flow in one direction? Or is it some trick w/ the plenum? Leading me back to the question: Do the air intake tubes actually see positive pressure? Thanks! -Jacob 94TT
